No. The mucin is collected through a process that does not harm the snails. Dew Theory is a cruelty-free brand — we do not test on animals at any stage of development, manufacturing, or distribution. This is the question we get asked most, and we're glad people ask it. If animal welfare matters to you, we want you to feel good about what you're putting on your skin.

The formula is fragrance-free and designed to be gentle. That said, every skin is different. We recommend doing a patch test on your inner wrist 24 hours before using it on your face. If you notice any redness or irritation, discontinue use.

Free on every order over $50, anywhere we ship. Below $50 it is a flat $4.95 in the United States, or $9.95 to Canada, $12.95 to Europe and the UK, and $16.95 to Asia-Pacific and Eastern Europe. US Express is $9.95 on any order.

Once your order leaves our US facility it is 2–4 business days in transit with Free or Standard shipping, or 1–3 business days with Express. International orders travel with FedEx and take 3–5 business days in transit, plus customs clearance. You'll get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

We pack orders at our US fulfilment centre, usually within 1–2 business days (up to 5 in a busy week). Add that to the transit times above and most US orders land 3–6 business days after you click buy. For roughly the first two hours your order sits in a New status and we can still change the address or cancel it — after that it goes onto the packing line. Yes — supplements ship to Canada, much of Europe and the UK, and a range of Asia-Pacific and Eastern European countries, free on orders over $50. Skincare currently ships within the United States only. Everything leaves from our US facility, so international orders may attract customs duties and import fees, which are the recipient's responsibility. No. Kojic acid helps even the look of skin tone by supporting the skin's natural renewal process. It does not bleach or permanently lighten skin. Think of it as helping your skin look more uniform, not changing its natural color. If you experience any irritation, reduce use to every other day or stop and consult a dermatologist.

The Kojic Acid & Turmeric Brightening Bar and the Quad-Weight Hyaluronic Serum are vegan. The Snail Mucin Repair Serum contains snail secretion filtrate and hydrolyzed collagen, so it is cruelty-free but not vegan.
