What's in the bottle — and why it's there

We don't hide behind proprietary blends. Here's what each key ingredient does, in plain language.

Snail Secretion Filtrate

The star of K-beauty for good reason. Snail mucin is a complex mixture of glycoproteins, glycolic acid, and hyaluronic acid that helps support the skin's moisture barrier, smooth the appearance of texture, and promote a healthier-looking complexion. It's been used in Korean skincare for decades and is backed by a growing body of cosmetic research. Ours is collected without harming the snails.

Centella Asiatica (Cica)

A plant extract used in traditional medicine across Asia for centuries. In skincare, centella is known for its soothing properties — it helps calm the look of irritated skin and supports the skin's natural recovery process. You'll find it in our Snail Mucin Repair Serum, where it works alongside panthenol to reduce the visible appearance of redness.

Kojic Acid

Derived from fungi (it's a byproduct of the fermentation process used to make sake), kojic acid is widely used in Japanese and Korean skincare for its ability to help improve the look of uneven skin tone. It works by supporting the skin's natural renewal, helping to visibly reduce the appearance of dark spots over time. Found in our Brightening Bar.

Turmeric

A root with a long history in Ayurvedic skincare. In topical form, turmeric provides antioxidant support and helps improve the look of dull, tired skin. It complements kojic acid in our Brightening Bar, supporting a more radiant appearance with daily use.

Hyaluronic Acid

Your skin already makes hyaluronic acid naturally — it's one of the key molecules responsible for keeping skin hydrated and plump. Topical HA supplements that moisture from the outside. Our Quad-Weight Hyaluronic Serum uses four different molecular weights: high-weight HA forms a moisture-retaining film on the surface, medium-weight penetrates the upper layers, and low and ultra-low weights reach deeper to support hydration from within.

Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5)

A humectant and skin conditioner that helps attract and hold moisture. Panthenol supports the skin's barrier function and has a soothing, calming effect on the look of irritated skin. It converts to vitamin B5 when absorbed, supporting the skin's natural repair processes.

Allantoin

A gentle, well-tolerated ingredient known for its soothing and softening properties. Allantoin helps smooth the look of skin and supports a more refined texture. It's a quiet workhorse in our Snail Mucin Repair Serum — you won't see it on the front of the bottle, but it's doing real work.

Hydrolyzed Collagen

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your skin, and its natural production decreases with age. Hydrolyzed collagen (collagen broken into smaller peptides) helps improve the visible appearance of skin elasticity and supports a smoother, firmer-looking complexion when applied topically.
